A weekend in Myanmar (Burma)
We spent last weekend in Myanmar, or what the US still calls Burma. We went there to see the village of Bagan which is quite impressive due to the thousands of temples. But equally impressive are the people of Burma - so very friendly and welcoming. The girl on the right can converse in 8 languages as a result of selling postcards to tourists! I am an expat currently living in SIngapore from the US and stumbled upon your blog. Can you give me some details on your weekends in Laos and Myanmar? I am trying to see both places but an unsure about how to get there and how to get around. Any advice or itineraries you can provide me would be great.
